This page provides an overview of all legal information relating to RexyListen. Please read the linked documents carefully before using the App.
RexyListen is not a content provider. RexyListen does not host, store, stream, distribute, or provide access to any media content of any kind. The App is a user interface that connects to a RexyServer that you own and operate. All content you access through RexyListen is served exclusively from your own personal server.
You are responsible for your content. You are solely responsible for the legality of all audiobook content stored on any server you connect to using RexyListen. RexyListen has no knowledge of, access to, or control over your content. Using RexyListen to access pirated, illegally obtained, or unlicensed content is a violation of our Terms of Use and may violate applicable copyright law.
You are responsible for third-party API credentials. If your RexyServer is configured to fetch audiobook metadata from third-party providers (Audnexus, Open Library, Google Books, iTunes Search, or others), the API credentials you supply to your server were obtained by you, under your name, subject to those providers' terms of service. RexyListen is not a party to your relationship with any metadata provider.
No affiliation with Apple Inc. RexyListen is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way connected to Apple Inc. Apple™, iPhone™, iPad™, Mac™, Apple Vision Pro™, iOS™, iPadOS™, macOS™, and visionOS™ are trademarks of Apple Inc.
RexyListen acknowledges the following third-party products, services, and trademarks used in connection with this application.
RexyListen is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple™, iPhone™, iPad™, Mac™, Apple Vision Pro™, iOS™, iPadOS™, macOS™, and visionOS™ are trademarks of Apple Inc. RexyListen is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for RexyListen or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for RexyListen.
RexyListen does not depend on third-party Swift packages — the entire client is built on Apple frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, AVFoundation, CryptoKit, Network, StoreKit) and on RexyShared, the Swift package shared with RexyServer.
If RexyListen incorporates open source software components in the future, all open source components will be used in compliance with their respective licenses, and acknowledgments will be added here.
RexyListen uses Apple's SF Symbols system icons. SF Symbols are subject to Apple's SF Symbols license, which restricts use to Apple platforms and prohibits commercial redistribution of the icons as standalone files.
When metadata for audiobooks is fetched, those requests are made by your RexyServer — not by RexyListen. Metadata sources may include Audnexus, Open Library, Google Books, and iTunes Search, depending on which sources you have configured on your server. Each provider's terms and privacy policies apply to your server's interactions with them. RexyListen, the client, never directly contacts any of these services.
Where audiobook or book metadata is sourced from Google Books, RexyListen displays "Provided by Google Books" alongside that item's information, in compliance with Google Books' branding guidelines.
